Telangana students' papers to be evaluated by Telangana lecturers only

2nd Mar, 2010: In a new twist, the Telangana Jagruthi has asked the Board Of Intermediate Education (BIE) to arrange for papers of Telangana students to be evaluated only by people from the Telangana region.

The Telangana JAC convenor Prof. Kodandaram and the president of the Telangana Jagruthi (the cultural wing of the TRS), Kavitha (the daughter of TRS chief KCR) were among those who met the secretary of the BIE, Balaramaiah. The team made a representation to the the above effect.

Kodandaram said that the examination papers of students of a particular region must be evaluated by people of that region only, because according to him the lives of children is otherwise getting majorly affected.

As for the BIE Secretary, he has said that a decision on the issue will be taken in 4-5 days.
